Tehran, November 22 (MRUD NEWS)—The 3rd Iran, UAE Joint Economic Commission will be held in the upcoming weeks for promoting bilateral cooperation, Iran Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Mehrdad Bazrpash, informed during his visit with the UAE ambassador in Tehran.
Mehrdad Bazrpash as the head of the joint economic commission pointing to the cultural and religious commonalities of the two countries said, Iran and UAE relations is very important in the region.
Speaking with the UAE ambassador to Tehran, Saif Mohammed Al-Zaabi, for commemorating the UAE's national day, Bazrpash said: "fortunately, the relations between the two countries have been developing considerably in the last two years in all fields including political, economic, commercial and tourism, and we hope that this process will continue in the upcoming years".
In line with the policy of the 13th government in Iran for developing its relations with the neighboring countries, strengthening bilateral ties with the UAE has a particular place since greater cooperation between the two countries, in addition to serving the national interests of the two countries, will bring about constructive impacts for the stability and security of the regional countries, Bazrpash added.
Addressing Saif Mohammed Al Zaabi, Bazrpash said that increased relations between Iran and UAE through the ambassadors and exchange of political and economic delegations during last year, and also further planning for the meeting of the high-ranking officials in the coming months, shows the positive and constructive stance of the leaders of the two countries for the development of mutual relations.
Bazrpash further said: the total value of trade between Iran and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) reached $34 billion in 2022, and considering capacities of the two countries, investment in various fields is expected.
The head of Iran, UAE joint economic commission announced: according to the statistics of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Customs, in the last year, the UAE was the third destination for the export of Iranian goods, and the first exporter to Iran.
Condemning the crimes of the Zionist regime in killing of innocent Palestinian people, Bazrapsh demanded a complete stop to the war crimes of the Zionist regime, the immediate ceasefire and the opening of a humanitarian corridor to send aid to the people of Gaza.
In this visit, Mehrdad Bazarpash congratulated the National Day of the United Arab Emirates and wished peace, prosperity and happiness for all the people of the world, especially the people of the United Arab Emirates.
